The Coy L. Cox School
In 1949, Public School 15 was converted into a school for students with Special Needs - Public School 613. This all boys school specialized in students with Emotional Disturbances. The first Principal was David Irving. Followed by Arthur Kaminski (1952-1955), Sidney Lipsyte (1955-1960), William Dorney (1960-1962), David Malachowsky (1960-1966).
In 1966, Coy L. Cox (pictured above) became Principal. During his tenure, Public School 613 was changed to Public School 369. Mr. Cox remained Principal until 1986 and the school was renamed in his honor after his passing in 1987.
Octavia Legrand became Principal in 1986. She was followed by Rudy E. Giuliani in 1995. After 23 years as a Principal, Mr. Giuliani retired in 2018. He was succeeded by our current Principal, Marjorie Dalrymple.
